Aloha and thank you for visiting Cloud Hale Design. Hale (pronounced ‘ha-lay’) is the Hawaiian word for house. My name is Tina Cloud and I am the owner, designer, and artist. I graduated from college (many moons ago) with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design. I worked as a professional interior designer specializing in commercial interiors for 13 years. Then I married my loving husband, a military man, and started an adventure of moving often and all over the world. I took a break from my first career and focused on my children. I kept my creative juices flowing with many hobbies like making jewelry, woodworking, stained glass, quilting, and designing my dream house that we will build one day. After much consideration I decided to focus on my passion for jewelry and turn it into a business. It also helps that jewelry is small and fits into whichever Hale we happen to be living in!
My jewelry designs are inspired by my world travels, my love of the ocean, as well as my fine art and interior design training. I use quality metals such as sterling silver, tribe silver, gold filled, vermeil, and PMC (.999 silver) in my jewelry. The stones and beads that I use vary from semi-precious, precious, glass, and crystal. I select stones and beads that match my inspiration, the mental picture that pops into my head, or the inspiration might be a beautiful bead itself. One of my favorite things to do is to craft distinctive pendants and charms from PMC. I consider each piece of jewelry that I make a unique piece of art. I also enjoy doing custom orders.
